Moyes was way too harsh!

David Moyes last night decided to single out Vladi Coufal for criticism after last night’s game and frankly seemed unfairly harsh on the Czech defender!

The Hammers’ right-back was at the centre of the disappointing defeat, as he conceded a penalty and was ultimately sent off in harsh circumstances after being handed a second yellow card.

Replays showed he got the ball, while Moyes also reckoned he was at fault for the opening goal, when Gabriel Martinelli burst into the box from the left flank and curled a finish into the bottom corner.

Watching the replay, we’re at a loss as to why Moyes criticised him, as Martinelli was simply too fast, and Coufal would have needed to be running at a full sprint to be able to stop him.

Add given the Czech international has been injured and has only recently returned to the first-team, digging him out may not be the best look for Moyes.

Coufal has been nothing short of brilliant since his signing and is an exceptional option at right-back.

None of what happened last night was his fault and we’ll be poorer without him against Norwich, when he will unfortunately be suspended.
