Moyes wasn’t looking for the big welcome back

New boss  David Moyes was not the least bit bothered at nt receiving   a mention over the loudspeakers ahead of yesterday’s game.

Some believe he should have received an official welcome back to the club with one or two even suggesting he was even owed a grovelling public apology for being allowed to leave.

But Moyes appears to be a bigger man than that – even after a couple of years out of work – and was looking for no special treatment from anybody.

He’s a focused individual who simply gets on with the job and doesn’t seem overly concerned about the politics of West Ham United which at times can be – shall we say – complicated.

There was also the other side of the coin to be considered with many not wanting him back and such a decision could easily have led to an adverse reaction.

Moyes responded to the question reporters asked him about not receiving such a welcome by saying: “I wasn’t looking for it, I am quite happy to slip in the back door and get on with the job. Be good at what I do”

Moyes couldn’t have given a better response to this question, he just needs to keep his head on the game and make sure we’re seeing solid results.

Well said Sir!
