Moyes welcomes back four Hammers

West Ham manager David Moyes has welcomed back four Hammers who were previously injured when the football hiatus started in March.

Right-back Ben Johnson has been drafted back into training after recovering from injury to train at Rush Green in small groups as part of stage one of the Premier League project restart.

The club released a photo of 20-year-old Johnson training with Sebastian Haller at the training ground this week bringing hopes he can be match fit by the time football restarts.

Johnson was thrown in at the deep end in his debut against Manchester City last season at the Etihad. He pocketed Riyad Mahrez that night and won plenty of plaudits before his injury. Some consider him a better prospect than Jeremy Ngakia whose future at West Ham looks in serious doubt.

Johnson joins Ryan Fredericks, Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko all of which have recovered from injuries in the current suspension of football.

Barring any fresh injuries, it leaves David Moyes with a fully fit squad from which to choose from when football resumes.
