Mystery over Cresswell

David Moyes admits that he is totally in the dark over when Aaron Cresswell will be able to return to action for the Hammers.

The left-back was again absent as the Irons faced Spurs in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

Spurs ultimately won the game 2-1, thanks to goals from Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura, and booked a clash with Chelsea in the semi-finals.

Without Cresswell in the side, Arthur Masuaku was tasked with playing at left wing-back and did not exactly cover himself in glory, with both Spurs goals coming down his side.

Cresswell has not been in action for the Hammers since the snowy clash with Manchester City back in November, when he injured his back by sliding into the post.

He has missed four Premier League games, against Brighton, Chelsea, Burnley and Arsenal and the Hammers have only won one of those games, beating the Blues 3-2.

And Moyes has now worryingly admitted that he just doesn’t know when he’s going to be back, telling reporters, as per Football.London: “I don’t know, I can’t give you an answer. We are missing him.”
