Samir Nasti must surely be nailed on to get the option on his contract taken up by the club but he admits he hasn’t a clue at this stage.

The midfielder was in blinding form when he arrived as a sub on Saturday and completed 39 of 39 passes  in the dramatic turn around.

With the manager such a keen fan of the player it would be a massive surprise were the Frenchman to remain at the club.

And it’s now likely that he could easily start in the next game against Everton in a fortnight’s time after such a commanding and influential performance.

At 31 and with highs and lows behind him in a chequered career he will take nothing for granted as we approach the end of a season which has also been interrupted by injury.

And he has spoken about what he has to to to make sure he remains at the club for a full year after joining in January.

He told www.whufc.com“I don’t know about my future. The most important thing for me was to come back, which I did in January.

“Then I got an injury because I wasn’t used to playing week in week out when I have been out of the game for so long.

“Now the manager takes his time with me. I have seven games left and I just want to play free of injury and then we will sit down and see what is next.”
