Nasri receives vote of confidence

Samir Nasri has received a big vote of confidence to win an extension for another season at West Ham according to today’s Claret and Hugh poll.

With over one thousand readers voting over 60% want the 31-year-old to get another year to prove himself with nearly 40% saying he can leave when his contract expires in June.

Nasri is one of four players whose contract expire on 30th June, the others being Andy Carroll, Pablo Zabaleta and Adrian.

Nasri is thought to be on a short term contract worth £50,000 per week plus £20,000 per appearance bonus, his representatives are thought to want £70,000 per week basic plus £20,000 per appearance bonus.

Nasri has made about 6 appearances this season after joining in January, he suffered a calf injury in late Jan against Bournemouth which kept him out injured until late February. He was due to return again on Monday night against Chelsea in the second half but suffered another calf injury warming up at Stamford Bridge.
