ClaretandHugh today launched a new poll into what has been dubbed the ‘Final final Boleyn game.’

A poll on the club’s official site was hijacked by a Manchester United twitter account urging Reds fans to ensure they recorded a yes vote.

The game was planned to involve West Ham Ladies and a celebrity X1.

The Man U intervention saw  a result of 52 per cent in favour and 48 per cent against and West Ham’s would-be organisers are now trying to make up their minds what to do.

In a bid to help we launched our own day-long poll and the outcome was clear when we closed the voting at 9pm this evening.

Those in favour of playing the game totalled 537 or 41.34 per cent of the votes cast whilst 762 or 58.66 per cent voted against the game.

With a total of 1299 votes cast in the few hours the poll has been running, it is now an official result as Mori standards are that a minimum of 1,000 votes are cast for it to be so.
