Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is another name who has apparently been discussed as a possible replacement for Manuel Pellegrini.

According to the Mirror the 52 year old Blades boss has been discussed inside the club after his promotion from the Championship and now  holding down sixth place in the Premier League.

The team were involved in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Manchester United yesterday taking their points tally to 18.

The Blades were a team  from whom we really should have taken three of our own rather than one in the recent London Stadium 1-1 draw.

But we understand that whilst – like most – the Irons have been impressed with Wilder’s performance thus far, they would not be ready to make an approach for him at this stage.

They believe he would need to show sustained form over a long er period of time in the Premier League before making any sort of move for him.
