New twist in Gomes transfer speculation

Sun journalist Alan Nixon has suggested a new twist in Andre Gomes transfer speculation by saying West Ham in fact bid only £15m for the Barcelona midfielder, that Everton were cooling their interest and the Spanish club could accept the Hammer’s low offer.

on Sunday Nixon tweeted: “WEST HAM. Offered 15 for Andre Gomes. Barcelona may accept. EVERTON not pushing as hard as expected after year on loan.”

The new claim doesn’t make any sense what so ever, West Ham are already known to have bid £18m and had the offer rejected. Barcelona values their the 25-year-old at £30m and are reported to be holding out for an absolute minimum of £25m.

Everton have been widely reported to be keen sign Gomes permanently after a season on loan at Goodison Park last season.  I am sorry but we are bringing back the rumour rater for this far fetched story to give it the lowest possible mark.
