No agreement with Sam Allardyce

Sources close to West Ham says there was no agreement in place with Sam Allardyce over Robert Snodgrass playing either in last night’s London Stadium game – verbal or otherwise.

There was no gentleman’s agreement or conversation and the club is bemused by Sam claiming the opposite.

They accept that the Premier League will conduct a  thorough investigation but the Irons claim they have nothing to hide.

Snodgrass travelled to the London Stadium and was seen live on TV watching the game from the stands, having played just five minutes for West Ham this season.

And there remains a big doubt he would have managed two games so quickly, at the age of 33 given those circumstances.

It is is believed that Allardyce simply erred on the side caution resting his new signing.

The Albion boss is well known for having a strange sense of humour but his quote to the media appears to have backfired spectacularly with the PL almost sure to start a probe into the circumstances surrounding the issue.
