West Ham’s first team squad have been given NO extra time off over the international break.

Our club insiders have totally rubbished social media and general internet stories claiming that to be the case and have made it clear to ClaretandHugh that after the Newcastle  defeat the players only had their normal Sunday and Monday off .

All of them – apart from those on international duty of course were back in training on Tuesday and today (Wednesday).

The first team squad will train again at Rush Green on Thursday and Friday before being given off two days on Saturday and Sunday before returning to training next Monday.

Our club insider said “I don’t know where the rumours of first players being given an extended break came from but it is just not true, they will continue to train as normal and have their normal days off”

The International break runs from 28 August – 05 September

Marko Arnautovic (Austria), Andre Ayew (Ghana), Chicharito (Mexico), James Collins (Wales), Conor Coventry (Republic of Ireland U19), Aaron Cresswell (England), Edimilson Fernandes (Switzerland), Jose Fonte (Portugal), Sead Haksabanovic (Montenegro), Joe Hart (England), Dan Kemp (England U19), Cheikhou Kouyate (Senegal), Arthur Masuaku (DR Congo), Rihards Matrevics (Latvia U19), Domingos Quina (Portugal U20), Anthony Scully (Republic of Ireland U19) and Nathan Trott (England U20) have all be called up for international duty.
