No issues as Moyes and Henry get set for business

David Moyes is heading into a brains trust with his old ‘mucker’ Tony Henry as the January transfer window approaches.

Having shown what he’s about with the players at his disposal the manager will now get down to the serious business of deciding on the two or three players the club aim to add to the squad.

And possibly unlike Sam Allardyce and Slaven Bilic before him that is unlikely to cause Moyes even a minor headache given his past history.

Henry’s scouting abilities are well known to each other given their time together at Everton and there is no hint of friction between the pair over his involvement as recruitment director to the board.

We understand that Moyes main priority is in midfield where Maraoun Fellaini could become a major target whilst he also fancies West Brom’s Jonny Evan at the back.

Co chairman David Sullivan confirmed the club’s position on  January signings in the Matchday programme last night writing: “The January transfer window opens in a couple of weeks and we will be looking to strengthen the squad..you can rest assured that two or three new players will be brought in to improve the team”
