Kevin Nolan will miss Mark Noble’s testimonial on Easter Monday as Leyton Orient host Hartlepool down the road.

Originally named in the Nobes testimonial lineup the player-manager of the O’s is otherwise engaged.

Orient lost 1-0 to Accrington Stanley yesterday and will face Hartlepool on Monday, meaning Nolan will miss Mark Noble’s testimonial at the Boleyn Ground

“I am devastated I am going to be missing that,” he says. “I am not going to be there for my mate, who has been a great servant to West Ham and is a fantastic player who should be in the England squad. I am gutted I won’t be there.

“But I am delighted to see West Ham doing well. Can they finish in the top four? Why not? I’d love them to win the FA Cup and finish fourth. If I had to choose, I’d love to see them win the Cup.”

Former Hammer Joe Cole is another of Noble’s mates will also miss the testimonial despite previously agreeing, he featured for Coventry City on Friday in a 3-1 loss over Peterborough when he scored and is set to play again on Tuesday when Coventry face Colchester in league one.
