Angelo Ogbonna posted a cheeky message with a photo on twitter last night standing next to a red London phone box questioning why he hadn’t received a call from Italian national coach  Antonio Conte for selection in the Italian national team.

The message from Ogbonna read: Who knows if Mr. Conte has my English number??!!  “

Ogbonna has already  been capped ten times for the Italian national team, after making his debut in 2011. However he last played for Italy back in October 2014 as a late substitute against Malta and has not been selected  for some time.

Ogbonna signed for the Hammers from UEFA Champions League runners-up Juventus last summer 2015 for a reported £8.25m transfer fee. He has made 16 Premier League appearances this season cementing his place as a first choice centre back in the team. He has made over 100 clearances, 470 passes, made 21 tackles and 26 inceptions so far this term.
