Ogbonna committed a ridiculous foul to give Palace a penalty

Angelo Ogbonna – having given away a needless penalty – is astounded that West Ham didn’t win the game against Crystal Palace.

The official website – as expected – are bringing a series of players quotes and having heard from Andre Ayew, it’s now Ogbonna’s turn to tell us all how shocked his is at coming away from Selhurst Park with just the point.

The Italian of course was responsible for the foul on Andros Townsend which gave Palace a way back into the game early in the second half.

However, that is not a matter for discussion in this interview which finds the central defender claiming it should have been three points.

His quote however is: ” We are focused for the next game. It’s a lesson. It’s a big lesson for us. We have to have to keep the ball.”

“It’s a defeat for us. It’s a defeat because we played well and we stayed in the game until the last minute. Everybody saw then what happened.”

“In the game anything can happen so we have to play not just for the manager but for ourselves. For our Club and for everybody.”

Yes Oggy, thanks for that and let’s hope we can focus on not committing stupid fouls inside the penalty area as well eh?
