Olympic Stadium: Architects fill the gap

Olympic Stadium Architects, Populous appear to have revealed they have found a way to fill the gap between the lower and upper stands behind the goals at West Ham’s new home next year.

Many West Ham supporters have been concerned about the massive gaps on show between the lower seating bowel and the upper seating at each end. On the eve of a Rugby World Cup match at the Olympic Stadium, Populous have released a promotion video which shows the gaps filled in with more fans in place behind the goal.

Whether this is just artistic license on the part of the promotional video makers or a real possibility, only tell will tell but it leaves the real possibility that the gap issue will be resolved and the capacity could increase beyond 54,000.
