One year on to the day our Boleyn closed its doors forever – and here is the perfect anniversary video!

It was a year ago to the day – May 10th – that West Ham United played it’s last ever game at our  legendary home of Upton Park.

It resulted in a fantastic 3-2 win over Manchester United but the sheer joy and sadness of that night could be measured in virtually equal parts as the doors of our spiritual home closed forever.

And today ClaretandHugh marks this sad anniversary with a magnificent video produced by passionate lifelong supporter NIGEL KAHN.

Set to the lyrics of one of the greatest pop songs ever written The Sound of Silence, this is a real tear jerker but we make no excuses – such moments in history have to be honoured.

Boleyn –  our old friend – where there was once bubbles there is now only the sound of silence.
