Oxford deletes ‘youth need feeding’ twitter post

Reece Oxford has deleted a twitter post which seemed to indicate his displeasure at not getting a chance last night against Accrington Stanley in the league cup.

West Ham Academy youngster Marcus Browne has sent out a tweet last night which hinted at the lack of first team chances for youngsters. The 18-year-old  tweeted: The youth need feeding.. we hungry out here” before deleting it later after having second thoughts.  Afterwards, he re-tweeted a post from Josh Onomah, who scored for Spurs as they beat Gillingham 5-0 in the League cup.

Reece Oxford re-tweeted  Browne’s ‘the youth need feeding’ message with an emoji of a pondering look which is used to indicate indicate thinking, or deep thought on the matter. However, after thinking it about it deeply he decided to delete the message from twitter.

Some have taken this to mean Oxford was equally displeased he didn’t get his chance last night after he was an unused substitute last night.

He has since replaced the message with a post saying “Winners never quit
