Palace stance on Eze is good news for Hammers
QPR rejected an initial bid from Palace worth £8m plus £4m of add-ons, but Palace have reportedly told QPR they do not think the 22-year-old is worth more than £10m as a flat fee. The West London Championship side have told Palace to only come back with what they feel is a serious offer, insisting Eze’s worth £20m.
QPR have made it clear they will not be bullied into selling on the cheap and hope interest from other Premier League clubs will start to drive the bidding up.
David Moyes is known to like Eze and he is understood to be an important target for the 57-year-old but the manager knows he must sell to buy players like Eze.
Claret and Hugh understand that David Sullivan and David Moyes are working day and night to offload some luxury and fringe players to raise funds to bring in a few new faces.
Moyes confirmed he wants to prioritise on defensive positions after conceding 62 goals last season and is thought to be looking for young full-backs and an experienced centre back.
The Hammers have a number of wide players on the books and one of these would need to sold to free up wages and provide transfer funds if West Ham are to make a formal bid for Eze.
