Spurs and Arsenal legend Pat Jennings has heaped praised on Fabianski for his performance against Spurs for a string of saves which kept West Ham in the game and ensured a Hammers win for the first time at Spurs new stadium.

Speaking to Claret and Hugh Associate editor Sean Whetstone at the game yesterday Jennings said the signing was a terrific piece of business for West Ham at £7m and the Polish shot stopper was one of the best keepers in the Premier League.

Fabianski made a number of important saves at Spurs new stadium which made sure that Antonio’s single goal counted and West Ham kept a clean sheet.

Fabianski is already a fan’s favourite this season and seems certain to pick up the coveted Hammer of the year and signing of the season.

Speaking about the 1980 FA Cup West Ham header that beat Arsenal Jennings still insists that Trevor Brooking never meant it and knew little about it.  Sir Trevor disagrees!
