Payet contract poll: Landslide vote

ClaretandHugh’s readers have overwhelmingly backed the West Ham board’s decision to give Dimitri Payet a vastly improved deal.

The brilliant midfielder has become the biggest earner in the club’s history at around £100k a week following this week’s negotiations.

Some had taken the view that it was far too soon given him a new contract given he only that he had only arrived eight months ago but in a poll to gauge opinion those in favour gave it a thumbs up of landslide proportions.

Over 1,000 have voted since yesterday lunchtime making it an official poll with Mori and  798  (79.4 per cent) said  ‘yes’ to the deal with just 204 saying ‘no.’
