Payet’s back pain reaches our necks!

So it seems that Dimi Payet has developed a pain in the back …yeah and  the rest of us have one in the neck which is described by most doctors I know as “Payet’s Pox”.

It’s absolutely amazing what happens in football isn’t it? No sooner has a player told a manager that he will never kick a ball for his team again than he gets  a mystery back pain. Bizarre – what a coincidence.

Amazingly much the same sort of thing happened to that Ravel Morrison except that his mystery pain was between his legs in the groin after a major bust up with Allardyce.

Payet – regularly described as one of the best professionals around-  has chosen to down tools for reasons which aren’t 100 per cent clear at the end of a day full of drama and intrigue.

But you do wonder whether the pain in the back will develop into the inner leg, stomach, right elbow and left ankle over the next few weeks.

It’s all been coming for a long time and to be honest I’m really glad it will soon be over. And I hope he is made to sit it out with the ressies over the next four months.

After all we were never going to sell him this January so why should we dance to his tune and take some quickly scrubbed together offer when we have the chance of making him pay for his total treachery.

Gold and Sullivan had precisely the same issue with a certain Robbie Savage at Birmingham when the Welshman was forced to turn out for the reserves  as he pursued a move to Blackburn. He ran out at St Andrew’s in front of 20,000 who had turned up at the match solely to give him as much abuse as possible.

The co chairman will also no doubt be recalling the Scotty Parker business after we were relegated as they decide on the way forward through this mess.

In the meantime let’s hear no more of pains in the back – that’s just insulting.

I once described Payet as a man destined to become a legend …how could I know it would be as the most famous in our history for hideous and insidious behaviour.
