Peace breaks out between Carroll and Moyes

Andy Carroll was back in training today at Rush Green after apologising to manager David Moyes for his weekend walk-away during the 4-1 defeat by Manchester City.

A club insider told ClaretandHugh that the two men had sorted out their differences after the striker had been sent home when failing to offer a ‘sorry gaffer’ to Moyes on Monday.

After the senior squad took their normal day off yesterday there were real fears that the row between the two would go unresolved almost certainly ruling the Geordie out of the match against Leicester City on Saturday.

But after a relatively cordial meeting between the pair Carroll trained this morning and again looks all set for a place in the squad for a game viewed as vital by everybody associated with the club

Our insider said: “All is good, both men are content with the outcome and the only thing both – and the squad are focused on is a win in the east midlands.”
