Pelle update
Reports of a move for the player emerged earlier in the day but the Irons have admitted there is no chance of him making the move given his current earnings.
The 32-year-old joined Shandong Luneng for £12million in July 2016 and is on a huge salary at around £13.5m a season but the Chinese side are willing to cut their losses…but Pelle is not!
Manager David Moyes is keen to sign a big front man in the current window but it won’t be Pelle who is set to earn £18 million NET between now and the end of the season.
With Andy Carroll set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, Moyes is looking for a replacement but with the likes of Chelsea unable fulfil the same requirement, there is little chance of the Irons being successful between now and the end of the window.
And unless a deal happens out of the blue Joao Mario may be the only arrival in the current window.
We were told this morning that this has become the most difficult window ever in which to do business despite the club having put in four bids for various players.
