Pellegrini gets boost for Cherries clash

Aaron Cresswell is available for the weekend game at the London Stadium although it is not a given he will take over immediately from Arthur Masuaku on the left side of defence.

Cressie was left out of the squad last weekend as the manager Manuel Pellegrini was not ready to take any chances on his fitness last weekend.

But he will come into contention for a place this week although Arthur is probably more likely to start as the manager looks to carry his attacking game to Bournemouth and dominate possession.

The Hammers managed only 35 per cent of that at Anfield and the boss will want to see us step it up considerably against the Cherries.

We were told this evening that Cresswell is read for action, assuming no setbacks in training, and it will be fascinating to see how Pellegrini works his options in a match from which the team will want to provide  an immediate winning reaction.
