West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is the bookie’s favourite for the sack following the departure of Marco Silva yesterday.

Bookies have put Manuel Pellegrini on odds of 2/1 for the next Premier League manager to be sacked.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the second favourite at 3/1 while Eddie Howe is a surprise 7/1 to leave Bournemouth next.

Nuno Espirito Santos and Brendan Rogers are both rated at 10/1 to leave their clubs.

Earlier this week Pellegrini showed he has a humorous side when he met with reporters at his pre-match conference at Rush Green.

Speaking to Sky Sports News reporters he joked “What is my position in the rankings to be sacked? First, still? Me? No more? It was only for one game? I like to be number one.”

The manager also joked to reporters he was surprised he was still at West Ham.

He faces renewed pressure to get something out the next two games against an out of form Arsenal and Southampton.
