Pellegrini shares fan frustration

Anxious Hammers fans have been joined in their frustration by manager Manuel Pellegrini.

One point from the last three games has seen the anxieties and pressure rising among the fan base but the boss is as frustrated as any of us.

And he has refused to join the discontent expressed  here and elsewhere over the lost two points against Sheffield United at the weekend.

It’s an easy old game from the stands of course but for all the complaints it has to be said that there was a vast improvement on the previous week with a win against Arsenal in the bank earlier in the week.

The trouble in the nutshell was a too easily conceded equaliser and missing two or three very good chances to bury the Blades as a result.

All of that left the manager – like the rest of  us – wringing his hands in frustration at an unexpected outcome.

He is reported by Talksport as saying: “Of course I share that frustration, I think that the players also share that frustration.

“But I don’t think we can have any complaints about the performance of our team today. Maybe for different reasons we didn’t win, but nothing to do with the game we played against Everton.

“That’s why we were not happy because home games we couldn’t win, but we must continue working.

“Because there are a lot more games to play.”
