Manuel Pellegrini told reporters he is pleased to have achieved four Premier league wins in a row but warns that West Ham must keep their feet on the ground.

He said in his post-match press conference “I am very pleased, it is not easy to win four games in a row. It was a tough game against Fulham, maybe their position in the table is not the best one but on their pitch, they have good players , we knew it would be a difficult game.

It was game where we didn’t create too many chances, but we scored the ones we did create. I think that we defended very well, especially in the second half when we didn’t really do too much.

We are just near the middle of the season ad then maybe at the end of the season we can sing together but for now, we must keep our feet on the ground, we are playing well, I know that West Ham fans enjoy the style we play so we must continue the same way.”

Claret and Hugh say:

In the euphoria of a fourth win in a row, Pellegrini is absolutely spot on to remind players and supporters that we must keep our feet on the ground and not get too carried away with our winning ways.  Our next opponents Watford will be a tough game if we want to extend our winning streak and the players shouldn’t get complacent or overconfident ahead of our next test. It is an old cliche but there are no easy games in the Premier League.  The Hammers took their chances very well yesterday against the statistics of the match. West Ham enjoyed 44% possession yesterday with six shots of which three were on target with two going in. Fulham enjoyed the majority of possession with sixteen shots of which four were on target but Fabianski denied them all.  Come on you Irons!
