Manuel Pellegrini and Director of Football Mario Husillos spoke with West Ham joint chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold today to finalise summer transfer targets and plans.

With an early August 8th cut off transfer window date, they will decide on the final strategy before Pellegrini flies off to Switzerland on Monday afternoon with the West Ham first team squad for the start of pre-season training.

The Hammers hope to sign between three and five more players this summer with another centre-back and two attacking midfielders their primary targets with the possibility of a forward, goalkeeper and defensive midfielder also under consideration.

Felipe Anderson is likely to be one topic of discussion with Lazio holding out for a combined £49m fee while West Ham has offered a combined package worth £37m including add-ons. Beyond Anderson, club insiders have stayed remarkably tight-lipped about new targets with Pellegrini determined not to tip off rival clubs who he is in the marker for.

Some targets are not even on the media radar we have been told.
