Sonny Perkins has signed for Leeds.

The youngster left the Hammers earlier this summer and has now moved to their Premier League rivals, as per BBC Sport.

Perkins has signed a three-year deal at Elland Road, fresh from the Hammers putting on record their “disappointment” at the player leaving.

The 18-year-old actually made his Premier League debut against Leeds and has now joined them on a permanent basis.

West Ham intimated that an approach from a separate club had influenced Perkins’ decision to leave the London Stadium, although they did not name the offenders.

Perkins played for Leyton Orient at youth level and moved to the Irons in 2019.

He can play in midfield and in attack and scored 10 goals in 20 PL2 games last season; he will initially link up with Leeds’ U21 side and will attempt to make an impact before progressing into the first team.

Leeds have been busy this summer, signing Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Darko Gyabi, Tyler Adams and Luis Sinisterra.
