However, that is probably too much to expect and it seems more likely that the fee could be cut to £9.95 or £7.50.
Fans would probably be happy with the latter although it’s unlikely it will stop many carrying on by instead giving such a price to football club related food banks.
The reaction has obviously shaken clubs and broadcasters and a reduction seems their only way forward if they wish to reap any sort of reward as a result of today’s virtual meeting.
