In 2013, a then nine year old West Ham fan called Jack Howard underwent a year of grueling chemotherapy and radiotherapy as well as having his kidney removed. Jack went into remission in February 2014 but the cancer returned in December 2015. All treatment has failed in the UK and his only hope is a drug available in America. Jack desperately needs to travel to Los Angeles to get a pioneering treatment which hopefully will save his life!!

The campaign has so far raised £120,000 from a target of £250,000.  This has allowed them to put down a $100,000 deposit and  allowed 12 year old Jack to fly out to the the United States last week. His fund raising team will be at today’s selling 1,000  specially made tee shirts to raise more money as well as accepting donations in buckets.

West Ham United have donated £5,000 to the campaign but has received criticism from some supporters who have pointed to Everton FC who recently donated £200,000 to a similar campaign for a five year old Sunderland fan who needed treatment in America.
