We have been told the police and other emergency services can use their radios in the vast majority of the London Stadium and there are only a handful of blackspots which need to be addressed to provide full coverage within the stadium.

The Police have confirmed as much in a statement saying “The Metropolitan Police Service will fulfill its legal responsibilities in relation to dealing with matters of criminality.”
However the Met did confirm they will not provide paid for private police cover within
We have been told the Airwave radio coverage can resolved fairly simply in the short term by using temporary radio repeaters in the black spots within the stadium which are quick to deploy.
As with most issues involving public bodies such as the Met Police, Newham Council and the London Legacy Development Agency these problems often end up more about political point scoring and a blame culture rather then getting on and fixing the problem.
