West Ham believe the new radio wavelengths which will allow police to operate within the London Stadium to be in place for the next Class A game – against Arsenal on December 3.

Much has been made of the inability to get things sorted out until December but a club source made it clear to ClaretamdHugh this evening (Wed) that there is no pressure on the situation.

He made it clear a police presence would only be brought in for Class A games and that the match against the Gunners, as the first of the season, gives the stadium time to sort the situation out.

He said: “We have been at the middle of a media circus over the last few days but all thse issues are being solved and we are processing them.

“We are increasing the rows of seats left empty for segregation from three to six and have also started a process whereby fan can contact the ticket office if they want a seat which suits them better.

Some have already taken advantage of that and we are doing our best to accommodate people.”
