The Metropolitan Police will not tolerate any misbehaviour within the London Stadium this afternoon urging fans with intent of ASB (Anti Social Behaviour) or criminal acts to stay away.

Police will enter the stadium in numbers today to support the stadium operators, London Stadium 185 and stewarding company OCS responsible for over 1,000 match day stewards.

Speaking Exclusively to ClaretandHugh this morning, the police match day commander told us:

“The Policing presence within the Stadium is in response to previous fan behaviour within the London Stadium.

Police would urge those fans intent on causing ASB or committing criminal acts, to stay away from the London Stadium.

Police will not tolerate any misbehaviour today and they should expect to have Police intervention should this ASB be conducted within or in the wider area of the London Stadium.

The Policing plan is sufficient to deal with any eventualities encountered today.

Fans should be aware that ASB and criminal behaviour will be monitored by CCTV before, during and post match and if not dealt with immediately today, a wider Police investigation will identify and deal with individuals during the coming weeks.”
