West Ham’s owners have received a massive vote of confidence from the club’s supporters.

The two Davids have often come in for noisy attacks on social media where David Gold has chosen to make himself prominent as he bids to answer the issues raised by fans.

ClaretandHugh – perhaps controversially –  decided to put some perspective on the stuation by running a poll in which they posed the question “Are David Sullivan and David Gold doing a good job?”

And even with the club suffering a poor start to the season on the pitch with issues surrounding their new home at the London Stadium they have come the fans have given a massive vote in their favour.

With 1,326 votes counted a total of 1,108 fans (83.56 per cent) have given the owners a big thumbs up with just 218 (16.44 pc) registering a no confidence vote.

The poll is now statically significant under the Mori organisation’s terms of reference having reached 1,000.

CandH founding editor Hugh Southon said: “We felt the issue has been rumbling on for long enough. As a site we have always backed the Davids and we are pleased the fans do too. There was some criticism of our decision to run the poll at a low point in the club’s fortunes but that makes the result all the more resounding and we’re pleased. Let’s all move on now and get behind them and the club.”
