The Premier League has shared advice in relation to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The PL Press Office told Claret and Hugh: “Clubs are following the same NHS guidelines as all other businesses/venues which are used by large numbers of people.

We have shared guidance with the Clubs that we received through the CPNI (Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure), which has been written in conjunction with the EFL’s chief medic.

Clubs are displaying advice to staff and supporters around the grounds, which is to self-isolate if they are experiencing any symptoms, wash their hands, etc.

There is currently no suggestion or guidance from the Department of Health/NHS England/PHE that clubs need to consider taking any extra measures.

Obviously we will continue to monitor the situation and take government advice. Should that change, I imagine we’ll have an update.

On the pre-match handshakes, there are currently no plans to change our usual process. We’re happy for individual clubs to carry out their own measures as they deem necessary at their press conferences, training grounds, etc.”

An LLDC spokesperson responsible for the London Stadium said:  “We will work with the Club and will take any appropriate action that may be directed by Government health authorities and the Premier League.”

A West Ham United spokesman added “We will follow any advice directed to us by the relevant authorities”
