Premier League average ticket price is meaningless

The average price of a Top flight ticket has fallen to £31,  down from £32 last year while the majority of fans pay less than £30 for their seat the Premier League announced today.

However that figure is pretty much meaningless without context as it covers different clubs, different bands of tickets, season ticket holders, general admission tickets, away tickets capped at £30 and concessions such as juniors, over 65 and disabled.

West Ham’s adult season ticket holders pay between £15.21 per game in band 5 to £57.89 per game in the padded 1966 premium seats.

On general admission, adult supporters pay between £3o and £45 for a ticket in category C match such as the Brighton game on 2nd January.

On general admission, adult supporters pay between £35 and £65 for a ticket in category B match such as the Watford game on 22nd December.

On general admission, adult supporters pay between £55 and £80 for a ticket in category A match such as the upcoming Arsenal game.

U16 seasons tickets for founders remain at £99 meaning kids pay as little as £5.21 per game for their tickets.
