Last night was a prime example of how the beautiful game of football is being ruined by rule changes bought in by the Premier League.

The new handball rule for this season dictates that any goal scored or created with the use of the hand or arm will be disallowed this season even if it is accidental.  The handball rule does not consider any intent by a player.

VAR was bought in by the Premier League to overturn a subjective decision if a “clear and obvious error” has been identified.

The Premier League is hails itself as the best football league in the world with the most money but new rules and VAR are ruining the game and turning supporters off.

Since the Premier League is owned by the twenty clubs equally it is up to the club chairman and their respective boards to lobby and vote on change to prevent the league from becoming a global laughing stock.
