Chairman’s sons Jack and Dave Sullivan revealed on a live radio interview on transfer deadline day there had been one inquiry about Dimi Payet from a club which they refused to name on air. Asked the question on Phoenix FM by Exwhuemployee,  Jack and Dave explained their father received an inquiry but he had immediately quoted a figure of £100 million.

Jack told Phoenix FM “We told every single agent, Payet wasn’t going anywhere, it was pointless bidding, one club sniffed, enquired, they phoned my dad, my dad said don’t even bother”

Asked by the presenter who the club was, Dave Sullivan junior answered “I don’t think we are legally allowed to say.”

Jack added: “We said unless you are going to offer a hundred million quid don’t even bother as he is a massive part of our plans and we are not like the old West Ham.”

A source close to the club has told ClaretandHugh that the mystery club in question was in fact French champions PSG.
