West Ham Manager David Moyes told the press that he has no involvement in transfers at the moment but admitted that maybe David Sullivan and Tony Henry are speaking to some people without his knowledge

When asked about stories linking West Ham Liverpool striker Danny Ings the Scotsman replied.

“There seems to be a lot of stories going about, but the truth is I’ve not had any involvement in it at the moment. I will start to get closer involved probably in the coming weeks. But for anyone to be shouting any names up at the moment would be wrong because I’m honestly not involved with anything at the moment. Maybe Tony Henry and the Chairman are speaking to some people, but I have no idea about it at the moment that’s for sure.”

However, Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg confirmed yesterday Sullivan is meeting with Head of recruitment Tony Henry to discuss transfers. He finished his exclusive article by saying: “The phone on Sullivan’s desk is starting to ring with increasing persistence. Henry has arrived to discuss transfer plans”
