Cand H ratings man Niall McDonald gives his marks

Fabianski: Beaten by their first shot on target, relatively little to do before a crucial block in the 93rd minute 6
Coufal: Great assist. Started to look stretched as City stepped it up, and was struggling near the end 5
Ogbonna: Very busy, excellent defending and organising 7
Balbuena: Lost count of the towering headers. Booked in stoppage time when finding himself, somehow, flying down the right-wing 7
Cresswell: Delivery from wide areas has really improved in recent weeks 7
Masuaku: Very comfortable again. Ability to carry the ball, and hit a crossfield pass that stood out 6
Rice: Put in an international-standard display against one of the top midfields in the PL 8
Soucek: Must have unbelievable stamina 7
Fornals: All over the pitch, finally ran out of puff a bit when through on goal late on 7
Bowen: Nobody epitomizes Moyes’ work-ethic better than Bowen. Showed good quality in the final third 7
Antonio: An amazing strike and played really well again before departing with injury 7

Subs
Yarmolenko: On for Antonio, can’t fault his effort and persistence. Nothing really came off for him though 4
Haller: Given 25 mins today; didn’t show enough to warrant a starting place (injuries aside) – just needs to have a bit more ‘spite’ about him I think 4
