Hugh hands out his marks

Roberto Beaten at near post for first but Masuaku was just as responsible – no chance with second. Two great saves along the way 6

Fredericks: Never disgraced but no serious impact 5

Diop: Some fine blocks  on a day when Everton’s forwards were rampant 6

Ogbonna: A difficult afternoon but he did well for long stretches 6

Masuaku: Poor defending for the goal and no chance to get forward to any great effect 4

Rice: As good as any of them and better than most 6

Noble: With Everton bossing midfield the skipper was usually on the back foot 5

Anderson: Subbed at half time after failing to make anything count much  – poor 4

Fornals: Nothing worked at all for the player just a nightmare for him 3

Lanzini: Never involved, no creativity and failed to track him man at time 3

Haller: No support whatsoever – felt really sorry for him 4

Subs

Yarmolenko: Some impact on his arrival but faded 4

Wilshere: Over-run like the rest of them 3

Ajeti: Seemed a pointless substitution and so it turned out 1
