Harry Redknapp has decided the best way to honour Bobby Moore’s memory is to slag off his treatment by West Ham.

A new film honouring the great Mooro called “Bobby” premieres with a special screening on the pitch at Wembley on May 25th as a tribute to the 1966 World Cup triumph.

Redknapp is one of several big names to talk up in the new film “Bobby” about the way he was treated by his former club after he retired and again repeats the story of how he was once asked to leave Upton Park because he did not have the right ticket.

Harry has of course told this story many many times – one of course that Mooro never related in his lifetime – too dignified and to much of a gentleman.

Redknapp, who says the current West Ham ownership are not to blame, said: “Others didn’t make him as welcome as they should have. It was criminal really.

“West Ham should have brought him in as an ambassador. He is the greatest icon in the game at that time, he should have been in the front row of the directors box.”

Moore became a pundit for radio station Capital Gold alongside highly respected BBC commentator Jonathan Pearce who also takes part in the film.
