Redknapp: Some days Rav wouldn’t make reserves
The Queens park Rangers boss – with another book to sell – has taken the West Ham midfielder to task for not knowing who Paul Gascoigne is.
Redknapp recalled Birmingham City boss Lee Clark, saying that Ravel was the best player since Gazza and that Ravel’s response was: ‘Who’s Gazza?’
Comments Redknapp: “Should that surprise us? Admittedly that World Cup in Italy is 24 years ago now, and Ravel is 21, but however long ago it was I think he can be expected to know who Paul Gascoigne is.”
And in another little knock the Loftus Road chief said: “If Morrison had played consistently at his best, he might have gone to the World Cup; on his bad days you wouldn’t have put him in our reserve team.”
