Sam Allardyce has been surprisingly linked with a possible move for Dafra Sakho in the January transfer indow.

The former Hammers boss has brought in Cenk Tosun  in a deal worth £27 million but he still wants to add another forward and Sakho is reported to be on his radar.

The Hammers are ready to sell the Senegal international and although a fogure of £15 million has been mentioned they will take a minimum of £10 million.

And the club is confident that the striker will now pass a medical after hisinjury problems which saw him fail one at West Brom when Tony Pulis attempted to sign him.

According to some reports, Allardyce had originally considered taking Sakho to GoodisonPark as part of a deal which would have seen Kevin Mirallas going the other way.

The Belgian who needs to play as regularly as possible during the second half of the season to keep alive his World Cup hopes has however since linked up with his former club Olympiacos.
