West Ham are are threatening to sue the owners of the London Stadium if there is no cut in beer prices before the next home game.

According to the Mail via Hammers fan and top journo Martin Samuel the club is outraged at the price the stadium owners are now charging for the cheapest pint of beer.

That had risen to an astonishing £7.30 for the opening game of the season against Manchester City  which is £2.13p higher than a similar purchase at Tottenham Hotspur.

Quite how the owners manage to increase a pint by just under 30 per cent is unbelievable and as a result the Hammers may be ready to sue them.

The Mail claims they are willing to go to court to force a price change, citing the Comparable Clubs clause in their catering agreement with the London Stadium.

West Ham have raised the issue with caterers Delaware North who insist they cannot make reductions without London Stadium permission.

Fans were angry at the prices being charged on the first day of the season – but West Ham do not set those prices and do not profit from catering at the stadium.
