Report: Bilic holds talks with West Ham target
The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international is viewed by West Brom as a player who can add no-nonsense defending and Premier League experience to his side as they look to re-establish themselves in the top flight.
Duffy had been linked with a move to West Ham according to the Irish Independent.
Duffy is under contract with Brighton until 2023 but he was a frustrated figure at times last season, starting just 12 Premier League games and has not been a regular in the first XI this season following the arrival of Adam Webster.
The recent signing of Dutch defender Joel Veltman will add extra to the competition for places. Brighton have not formally put Duffy up for sale but they have suggested that some players will be available on loan for next season.
David Moyes was Everton manager when Duffy made his debut for the Toffees as a 17-year-old and the pair have a good working relationship.
Duffy could be available on loan or a cut-price permanent fee this summer and with Fabian Balbuena, a potential departure and no way back for Winston Reid.

adding “As an aside to this, Moyes really wanted Dunk first time around at West Ham but if he leaves Brighton now it will be for a bigger club, and they won’t be selling two CB’s this summer. Personally think Duffy needs a move and would do well with the Hammers. Watch this space”
Last week Moyes confirmed he is looking for defenders explaining central defenders are better when they are more experienced.
The manager told the Evening Standard “We’re lacking in defensive cover. We’re also looking to see who could move on, because that could change the direction we take during the transfer window. The owners have spent a lot of money in the last few years and I’m not sure a similar amount will be available this time.
“Whatever there is, though, we will spend it wisely. We’re trying to bring in a younger group but we will also need a couple of experienced players.
“Central defenders are usually better when they’re more experienced.”
