Report: Brazilian snubs West Ham

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims that Bernard has rejected the chance to join West Ham, instead preferring a mega-money move to China.

The report on Pedulla’s own website claims the Hammers had put an important offer on the plate through intermediaries in an attempt to convince the Brazilian player to become a Hammer. The 25 year old midfielder has officially announced in recent days his farewell to Shakhtar on a free transfer. Bernard had initially shown signs of openness to a move to West Ham, but Pedulla says that soon turned into an almost definitive no.  The report claims Bernard is now evaluating some proposals coming from China.
