Everton are reportedly considering a £3m bid for West Ham defender Reece Oxford Sky Sports claims this afternoon.

Reece Oxford made his debut for West Ham’s first team as a 16-year-old under Slaven Bilic, becoming the club’s youngest-ever player and has since become an England U20 international.  He received a bumper pay rise to £20,000 per week making him the highest paid Academy player at West Ham.  Oxford spent last season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach and West Ham say they will entertain offers over £10m.
Oxford was not included in the pre-season training camp to Austria indicating he is not in Pellegrini’s first team plans for the coming season. Instead he was made captain of the under 23 side at the AGP Arena earlier this week as the Hammers came off 4-0 winners over Billericay Town in a pre-season friendly for the Premier League 2 development squad.

If the report is true, an Everton bid of £3m is likely to be immediately rejected as insulting for a player that was valued at £18m two summers ago after interest from Manchester United and Manchester City.
